After being notified of his sentence to 10 years of prison by the disappearance of Luis San Martin Vergara, the ex- military man declared innocent and questioned the legal figure of the kidnapping permanent. General (r) Raul Iturriaga Neumann defended his innocence shortly after being notified of his sentence to 10 years of prison dictated by law minister Alexander Soli's, by the disappearance in 1974 of the left militant Luis San Martin Vergara.
The ex- military man maintained that she is “being sentenced by a lie” because the Judicial Power knows that “I do not have to anybody kidnapped”. “In my life, first time that they sentence to me and how I go to this contentment. I ask to him you, if they would be contentments if they sentence them by a lie. I am being sentenced by a lie. I do not have any responsibility, I not even I stopped a gentleman that I know that she was called San Martin Vergara”, indicated.
The ex- member of the cupola of the DYNE, also, cuestinó the legal figure of the kidnapping permanent that is applied to the case of the missing prisoners and that makes the application impassable of the Law of Amnesty, dictated by the dictatorship in 1978. “I do not have to anybody kidnapped, and you to it know who I do not have it kidnapped, the president of the Supreme Court knows to it that I do not have to anybody kidnapped, knows the President to it of the Republic and the judge knows to it”, added.
The magistrate Soli's also condemned by he himself crime to 15 years from prison the ex- head of the missing Direction of National Intelligence (DYNE), Manuel Contreras; to 10 years to Brigadier Miguel Krassnoff; and to five years to Brigadier Gerald Urrich.
